Tata Motors has unveiled the 2025 new generation version of its luxury hatch, Altroz, as a significant facelift because the car has been in the market since its launch in 2020. Tata is looking to consolidate its dominance in the hatchback segment for which it has been struggling with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.

The new Altroz 2025 gets a complete makeover on the design front from a new front face, thinner LED DRLs, and fresh alloy wheels with fresh designs. All of these cosmetic external design changes give the hatchback a premium and sporty look. The inside gets significant upgrades in the form of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with onboard navigation, digital cluster instrument, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Tata car technology is complemented with iRA, including real-time car information and remote control. Safety is one of the key area concerns of the facelift. Six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), 360-degree surround view camera, rear parking sensor, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points are fitted across all variants. The Altroz is also supported on the ALFA platform, which has already achieved a 5-star rating for crash tests in Global NCAP, further bolstering its safety package.

Mechanically, 2025 Altroz is flexible with three powertrain options: a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.2-litre CNG variants. Three transmission options — a 5-speed manual, a second new 5-speed AMT, and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic — are offered to customers depending on driving attitude and preference.
